R-006 Pneumothorax Chest Needle is a life-saving procedure, which involves placing a wide-bore cannula into the second intercostal space midclavicular line (2ICS MCL), Needle thoracostomy, also known as “needle decompression” is a procedure performed to stabilize deteriorating patients in the life-threatening situation of a tension pneumothorax. Just above the third rib, in order to decompress a tension pneumothorax, as per Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) guidelines.
√ The connection between the needle tube and the handle of the puncture needle should be firm, a force of 20N should be applied to the needle tube, and the connection between the needle tube and the handle should not be loose.
√ The needle holder of the puncture needle and the conical joint of the guide catheter holder should meet the requirements of GB/T19621-2015 or GB/T19622-2001.
√ The minimum breaking force at the connection between the guide sleeve and the guide sleeve seat is 15N.
√ The product should be sterile after being sterilized with ethylene oxide, and its residual amount should not be greater than 10µg/G.
